Adam and Jennifer – Yorkshire elopement
To be asked by Adam and Jennifer to be their Yorkshire Elopement photographer was a real pleasure. Just hearing the plans for the woodland hand fasting ceremony was a treat. I love a unique wedding and these two certainly stuck to their own ideas, it was a real visual delight.
After a trip to Tall boy’s in Leeds we were on our way, beers in hand. These were to form the ending of the ceremony later on. Adam drove us out of Leeds in their camper van heading for Little Almscliffe. It was here we met Louisa the celebrant, a lovely person who warmly welcomed us all. After managing to find the clearing in the woods that they previously scouted everything was ready to begin. The light dancing between the trees felt very special, there was a cool winter breeze but nothing to deter Adam and Jennifer. Especially not stop their ceremony for. Choosing a time later in the day meant we had the perfect amount of sun for afterwards.
As we walked back out from the woods we went across to the crag, its a place with some real presence. The rocks form a small raised plateau, the perfect location for some pictures. We spent a little time here before heading back towards the trees for some shelter from the cool winds. Admittedly there was a little trudging through mud involved but these two didn’t care, thats what adventure is all about isn’t it!? As the last of the useable light was fading we were all heading back to the camper van to round of the perfect woodland ceremony. Thank you again Adam and Jennifer for having me document this special occasion.
