Shwin and May – Peak District proposal
I don’t think I could ever do this justice with words alone. Here’s an attempt at a back story though.
Shwin and May came all the way from Thailand and had their shoot in the Peak District. As far as I was concerned it was just a couples shoot.
That was until we actually met and started shooting. Shwin found a minute with May out of earshot and he told me his plans. I had never photographed a proposal before, excited would be an understatement.
After taking a trek to the top of Bamford Edge the time was right. The summer sun sat low in the sky for an eternity that evening. The rich light wrapped around them both as they stood atop a rocky outcrop. May was caught entirely by surprise. What a moment!
The emotion, the pure happiness, capturing the expressions. That’s why I love photographing couples. What an absolute honour.
