Iain and Amy – Peak District Wedding
A peak district wedding is always a treat. When doggos are involved, its a winner.
Iain and Amy picked Edale Church and Losehill House hotel for their special day. With Amy getting ready at Losehill, Iain just stopped by quickly to pick up the Morgan.
What a beauty of a car that Morgan was. The lovely, deep British racing green. It seemed to sit so effortlessly in the landscape. The lovely tones of the autumnal Peak District were a match made in heaven. Too much car talk, I like cars.
There was a definite Scottish presence here. Most of Iain’s side are Scottish. Hearing the bagpipes blaring out over a quiet, sleepy Edale was magnificent. Edale church is a beauty itself. Once bustling with their guests and decorations it was the perfect setting.
I know what you’re thinking. I mentioned a dog. You’re right and Rupert was sat in church watching the whole ceremony. Exemplary behaviour.
Following the Ceremony everyone headed back to Losehill. We went via a little-used road at the base of Mam tor for a few pictures with the car.
Losehill looked fantastic. The guests quickly settled into the party atmosphere. So, the speeches. They were emotional. At one point i don’t think was a dry eye in the room.
Amy and Iain were keen to nip out for a few minutes for some evening pictures. That proved pretty fantastic. Look at the evening light. A photographers dream. I think its worth taking a minute to appreciate Amy’s dedication to her footwear. Amy wore those heels all day and pretty much scaled a small mountain in them. Great job Amy.
As the light faded the madness started. Two words- Ceilidh Band. They just never ever fail to disappoint. Wild dancing their night away. That was that.
If you’re planning a Peak district wedding I would love to hear from you here.
If you would like to see another wedding I have photographed at Losehill House hotel you can find that here.
