Chris and Anneka – Skipbridge Country wedding
Visiting Skipbridge Country weddings was a first for me. Weddings come in all kinds of different shapes and sizes. When its the wedding of fellow suppliers its going to be special. Its even more special when those suppliers are photographers. You know to expect a visual feast.
Chris and Anni had a May wedding at Skipbridge. Luna the miniature schnauzer was there playing her part (the starring role) too. It seems odd at this time of year to think how warm it was. It really was a scorcher though. Their outdoor ceremony was beautiful. I wish more weddings had a greater outdoor element. Thats our British weather though.
After the vows under the willow the drinks began to flow. The bar was open, Llamas appeared, confetti was thrown. Ok, the Llamas need more of a mention than just that. I’m not sure how weddings and Llamas became a thing. They are wonderful though and their names are Chester and Gary. Amazing.
To the tipis! These were styled to perfection. With El Kantina bringing the Mexican street food vibes. This was heavenly, an almost festival atmosphere. Incase you were wondering what the crowns are for during the speeches. This was the same day as the royal wedding. It goes without saying Chris and Anni’s was better.
An evening stroll in the richest of richest sunsets was the perfect break from all the madness. The ideal time for a few pictures of Chris and Anni together. A quick recharge for the party that was to ensue.
The first dance kicked it all off. No awkward shuffle here, it set the tone for the rest of the night. The Blackbeards Tea Party provided the soundtrack. Despite the earlier heat, there was no shortage of energy! As the sun set the tipis stood out more and more against the dusky skies. From the outside looking in there was a definite juxtaposition from the peaceful outer to the manic inside.
What a finish to the most special of days.
If you’re planning a Skipbridge Country weddings day I would love to hear from you here.
