Dan and Laura- Lake District photographer
More adventures like this please. I could be a Lake district photographer everyday. Exploring Wast Water and the western lakes with Dan and Laura was truly special.
Dan and Laura have been together 12 years. Its always a pleasure to photograph them and their beautiful connection. This particular day meant an early start. As we got nearer the scenery of the Lakes came alive. Its ever such a beautiful road from the Peninsulas through to Wasdale. The weather was so moody and misty, clouds filled the skies and patchy fog rolled through. This just made everything all the more perfect and really suited the mood.
We walked along the banks of Wast water admiring the imposing mountainous backdrop. The enormity of the landscape against the scale of people within it was something that needed to come across. You can see why the view along Wast water was voted as the best in the UK. The wind kept picking up and creating such lovely movement. From hair dancing around to the ribbons on the bouquet following the direction of the breeze. While we’re on about that bouquet…WOW. That was the amazing work of Sam from Stem and co. The colours and textures worked effortlessly. There was just a splash of muted tones that stood out against the almost baron greys and browns of the mountains around us.
